Top things to see in Baden, Switzerland 🇨🇭

Just 20 kilometers outside Zurich city, there is this charming little town, called Baden in canton of Aargau.

Usually I’m not the biggest fan of big cities, so I’m constantly searching for fun things to do and see outside Zurich. Baden looked really pretty from photos, besides, it’s only half an hour from Zurich, pretty close.

We parked our car in the city center area. Park House Ländli AG is a good choice for parking, with only 2 CHF / hour.

We had a nice little walk around the city, until we went to the Christmas market. Don’t miss out the covered wooden bridge.

And then cross the higher bridge, Hochbrücke, the view from up there is spectacular, you will get amazing photos.

Another great thing to do in Baden is to climb to the Ruine Stein, you will also get amazing views from the old tower. Unfortunately we arrived a bit late in the day, because we wanted to see the Christmas lights, but we will return for sure on a sunny day and explore more.

I was amazed how beautiful the Christmas market is in Baden. Various food choices, local and international, aromatic mulled wine, even an ice rink.

Everything is so clean, and decorated with good taste, nothing to crazy or too much. And the smell all over the city was so Christmassy 🎄

Even small fires were arranged from place to place, to keep you warm, carols, Christmas trees, so festive!

I know it sounds crazy, but I liked this Christmas market more then the one from Zurich. I think it’s the intimacy that such a small town offers you, instead of super crowed cities.
